Winter Fun
We got 14 inches of snow last weekend. It would have been great if it had waited 24 hours, so work would have been closed. It would have been my first real snow day, since up until my recent job change, I would always take work home with me when there was a heavy snow in the forecast. Neither rain nor sleet nor dark of night prevents the civil engineer from working a 60-hour week!
Yesterday the VIKA, Inc. Alumni Association (Anne, James, and I), Zach, and James' entourage (Adrienne & baby Adelaide) went tubing at Liberty Resort in PA. After 13 years in TX, it's still a little crazy to me that we can be in any neighboring state in an hour or less! It was really cold, but that didn't bother me because I was wearing 3 pairs of pants and 3 shirts in addition to a puffy jacket. The puffy jacket was borrowed from Zach, because all of my clothes were purchased for fashion-purposes and not actually with the intent of keeping warm. Stick-on toe warmers are a miracle of modern technology, by the way. While it was certainly cold enough for snow, the only snow on the ground was manmade. Dinner followed at Adrienne's & James' house, where Anne delighted us with her Canadian sense of humour (spelled the right way for Anne), James revealed his love of dill seasoning, Adrienne produced a great clam chowder that not even over-enthusiastic addition of dill could ruin, and Adelaide demonstrated that babies can actually be pensive.

Clothes should be bought for fashion purposes only. What is the point of paying for it if itsn't going to make you look fabulous?!?! You go girl :)
